Read the instructions on the screen carefully
This way, you know exactly what steps to follow and you avoid mistakes, such as leaving your card or money behind.
Always complete your transaction first
A transaction only takes a moment: from inserting your card to getting it back. If someone approaches you, politely tell them that you want to finish first.
Stay until you see the start screen again
You will first receive your card, then your money. So do not get distracted. Wait until the transaction is complete.
Remember: Never share your PIN with anyone.
Your PIN is yours alone. Never share it. Not even by telephone, email or link. Bank employees will never ask for your PIN. Neither will CASH security guards or maintenance technicians, nor the Cardstop helpdesk.
Save the Card Stop number in your mobile phone
Save 078 170 170 as a fixed contact. That way, you can call immediately if you encounter any problems.
Report fraud or scams
Have you been the victim of a scam or fraud? Contact your local police immediately.
Foreign card?
At new CASH points, you can
CASH would first and foremost like to apologise for this inconvenience. We are doing everything we can to prevent invalid, ink-stained banknotes from entering circulation.
Have you nevertheless received one or more ink-stained banknotes from a CASH machine? If so, please take them to your bank as soon as possible and explain where and how you obtained it. Your bank will hand the banknote over to the National Bank of Belgium, which will turn it over to the police to be used as evidence in their investigation.
You can find more information here: Dye-stained banknotes | National Bank of Belgium.
It can happen that after a failed or interrupted ATM transaction, a reservation appears on your account.
This reservation is temporary and does not affect your available balance. It disappears automatically. With some banks this happens quickly, while with others it may take a bit longer.
Is the reservation still visible after a few days or are you unsure? Then contact your bank.
